Lapworks Attaché Laptop Stand Review

April 23rd, 2008
Enthusiasts know all too well the struggles that come with trying to keep a loaded desktop from overheating, but what happens when your new notebook gets hot under the collar?

    digg it    MyWeb    Google    Slashdot

Oil and water; peanut butter and ketchup; Celine Dion and singing - some things just don't mix very well, and we can add to that list ergonomics and mobile computing.  Even the term laptop is a bit of a misnomer, suggesting that we put our notebooks on our lap.  But as soon as we do that, any hope of an ergonomic posture gets tossed to the wayside, and possibly our fertility too, thanks to the potentially dangerous heat output.  What's a power user on the go to do?

LapWorks is a design and manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. We specialize in products that make working with your notebook safer, easier and more productive. These are products that:

  • Improve posture/ergonomics
  • Reduce heat build-up in notebooks and
  • Protect a user’s lap from the full force of heat that radiate from the bottom of notebooks.
Lapworks thinks their Attaché Laptop Stand offers the one-two punch needed to knock out both problems plaguing notebook users, and we'll tell you if it succeeds, or, if like our notebooks, they're simply blowing hot air.
