It wasn't that long ago that the optical scene consisted of Plextor and everyone else. Sure, Plextor drives ran higher than the competition, but the cornucopia of included utilities and track record for reliability often justified the cost. Then in early 2007, Plextor sort of dropped off the optical radar as the company decided to reshuffle its domestic business and focus on other products lines.
Fast forward to 2009 and Plextor is back at it again, having just released an 8X Blu-ray combo drive. The PX-320SA not only reads Blu-ray discs, but comes ready to burn CD and DVD media, making it an all-in-one drive equally suited for a variety of setups, whether it be for a home office or HTPC.
Also included in the retail package is CyberLink's BD Suite for viewing Blu-ray flicks on your PC or HTPC setup, a SATA cable, user manual, and installation screws.
