Tagan Black Pearl Case
Tagan’s latest foray into the computer enclosure market comes in the form of the Black Pearl. No, this isn’t a rerun of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”. Rather, this is a computer enclosure that Tagan is dubbing as the most qualified water cooling ready chassis that an enthusiast can buy. With features galore, the Black Pearl seems ready to take to the high seas in its quest for ultimate chassis domination. Will the Black Pearl succeed, or will it walk the plank? HardwareLogic sets sail to find out! Yaargh!

The bundle of the Black Pearl is strongly reminiscent of the bundle that came with the Lian-Li PC-A70B we reviewed in the fall of last year. Everything that you would expect a high-end enthusiast level enclosure to offer can be found here. This includes cable clips, zip ties, a jeweler's screwdriver, a CPU backplate for EATX motherboards, necessary hardware to install your motherboard, HDDs and optical drives, along with a three pin fan cable. While the bundle of the Black Pearl is a welcome sight, we found the manual to be a bit on the sparse side, only detailing the simplest of tasks. It does, however, give you the pinout diagrams for the USB and IEEE FireWire 1394 connections.
