AirLive offers wide range of products from more basic hardware like routers and network cards, to more specialty items like Bluetooth accessories and Skype phones.  Today we are taking a close look at their new Wireless Hard Drive (WMU-6500FS).  Don't flip to the last page just yet, this isn't just a little box you throw a hard drive into and share files.  This thing almost has a mind of its own and does a lot more than just allow for files to be shared on your network.  Now we don't want to spoil everything right off the bat, but stick with us and you may be just as surprised as we were to find out how versatile this little gem is.

AirLive included a power cord, stand, Ethernet cord, HDD mounting screws, antenna, quick setup guide, and an installation CD.  The CD included a manual and installed a program that detects the unit on your network.  Once detected, the installed program connects to the admin functions, just as the user would by connecting via the IP.  More advanced users will likely connect via a web browser, in the same manner one would login to the admin functions of most routers.  The installed program allows for a quicker, easier connection for the average user. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves though, and take a look at getting what installation entails.
