Six Hundred v2 Exterior
The Six Hundred is a mid-sized case and falls into the mainstream or budget line of gaming cases. Traditionally, a gaming case is a high-end case, but Antec is pushing into more budget friendly areas with the new designs. Since this is a mid-size tower, you sacrifice some expansion and drive bays. Most builds won't miss the extra options, though.
A theme on the Hundred series of Antec cases are the mesh airflow covering the drive area. On the Six Hundred, it is relegated to the bottom of the case where the hard drives would be mounted. The part just above the mesh area is an external SSD mounting system. This is a very strange addition since most people probably won't be using a SSD as removable storage and you should NEVER leave your SSD hanging out of the case and available for anyone to grab. There are three optical drive bays.
Once you pop the front of the case off, you can see the mesh filter that can be removed and cleaned. You need to take the front off to install the optical drives. Two optional 120mm fans can be installed in front of the drive bays.
There are no USB 3.0 ports here, only 3x USB 2.0 ports. Two indication LEDs (power and HDD), the reset button, audio ports, and the power button round out the top-front portion of the case.
