Package Contents
Included in the packaged for both the 120mm and the 80mm fans are a set of four rubber bolts (with washers), four fan screws, the wires for hooking the fan up, the fan itself, and a slip of paper mentioning that the particular product passed all of Sharkoon's Quality Assurance tests.
As some other PC fans ship with a set of screws and the fan itself, it is nice to see Sharkoon including so many "bonus" items. The slip of paper is a real nice touch as it shows Sharkoon has pride in their own products.
Sharkoon Silent Eagle SE
With the fans out of the box, you can get a good feeling of what makes them different from the other fans on the market. Both the 80mm and 120mm fans use the standard 7-blade arrangement rather than the more flashy 9-blade one, but the fans are covered with dimples akin to that of a golf ball. As you may know, the dimples on a golf ball allow the ball to travel through the air more efficiently than if it was smooth. Sharkoon obviously intended to borrow this design improvement and the white color of the blades themselves only adds to the illusion. In fact, the biggest question about the design of the Silent Eagle fans is why no one else thought of doing the idea long ago.
The wires used for connecting the fans are all clearly labeled similar to the helpful info on the packaging. They are wrapped in a high-quality plastic braid to prevent damage.
